Job Title: Lead Carpenter V
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, with a focus on delivering high-quality craftsmanship in various construction and woodworking projects.
The experienced carpenter will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, executing precise measurements, selecting materials, and leading a team of carpentry professionals to ensure successful project completion.
Responsibilities
1. Carpentry Skills:
- Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, and custom woodwork.
- Utilize hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
- Install and finish various types of molding, trim, and cabinetry.
2. Project Planning and Preparation:
- Review and interpret project blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
- Calculate materials required and estimate project timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project goals and expectations.
3. Team Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of carpentry teams on construction sites.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior carpenters and apprentices.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
4. Material Selection and Procurement:
- Select appropriate materials based on project requirements and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
5. Problem Solving:
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the construction process.
- Propose effective solutions to challenges that may arise on-site.
6. Quality Control:
- Conduct inspections to ensure work meets established standards and specifications.
- Implement measures to address any deviations from quality requirements.
7. Communication
- Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, clients, and other team members.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns promptly.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a carpenter, with a minimum of 10 years in the field.
- In-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
